Cornucopias Hot Topics - Issue #7
2024 Recap
As we step into 2025, we’re reflecting on our accomplishments in 2024 to prepare ourselves for even greater success in the new year, building upon the strong foundations we’ve established. In 2024, we published 40 episodes of Copi Cafe with our Co-CEOs, Rob and Josh, delivering transparency and regular development updates to our dedicated community. We officially entered the DePIN category with the launch of our File Node Network, which will soon enable our community to distribute game files globally. Additionally, we released the largest game updates in the history of Cornucopias, including the Solace Zone and other new playable areas in Calido, making Cornucopias the largest playable in-game universe in the blockchain industry. We also introduced foundational gameplay elements such as one of the most advanced avatar creators in the industry, a robust spatial inventory system, a fully functional jetpack item category, a streamlined navigation system, and an in-game trading system based on in-game currency. And for the land plot holders, we ended the year with a massive plot research tool that allows players to navigate detailed maps of Solace 1, 2, and 3 with the option to favorite plots that they plan to grab when we launch our highly anticipated Land Grab in 2025.
2025 Roadmap Update
Our 2024 achievements have positioned us for Cornucopias’ biggest year yet! With the highly anticipated release of Esparanza and Fortune Zones, our already massive in-game universe will nearly triple in size. Building on our inventory and in-game trading systems, we will roll out a more mature in-game economy that interacts seamlessly with the many new gameplay elements planned for the coming year. In 2025, we aim to deliver exciting milestones such as the completion of the File Node Network, a listing on the Epic Games Store, and numerous secret developments. Art
To close out December, we surprised players with a new build, 0.2.5 “City Slickers”, introducing a brand-new playable area: Calido City, located behind the Grand Valley Hotel. Our art team has meticulously designed this urban complex, featuring new shops, brands, and landscapes that reflect the working-class heart of Cornucopias.
In addition, our art team has been developing the Esparanza landscape. Leveraging the lessons learned from Solace’s development, we’ve refined our processes and improved efficiency. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
Programming
Our programming team has laid the groundwork for a thriving in-game economy. A major feature of the latest build is the Jurni General Store in the heart of Calido City, where players can buy and sell various looted inventory items for credits. This marks a critical step in evolving Cornucopias into a player-driven digital economy.
We’ve also introduced a new gameplay element specifically for jetpacks. Aero Trails, set in a loop within Calido City, challenge players to race through the fastest route around the district, testing their skills and speed.
QA
Our QA team showed exceptional dedication, rigorously testing new features right up to the holidays. Thanks to their efforts, we identified and resolved critical bugs, ensuring the latest build was ready for release by the end of the year.
Marketing
The marketing team has been preparing for a robust campaign to support Cornucopias’ growth in 2025. We’re reworking our website to showcase all the gameplay updates from the past year and enhancing our Discord Engage Point system to mobilize the community more effectively. Additionally, several top-secret initiatives are underway, which we’ll unveil in the coming months!
