From 2001 to 2007, Fred was part of the management team of the Atari Group, the videogame publisher, first as Deputy COO and Chief Financial Officer of the Group, and then as Chief Executive Officer of Atari Interactive. In 2007, he left Atari to create his own videogame production company.

In 2013, he became a significant shareholder of the Atari group through the purchase of Atari securities held by BlueBay.
